This original Edwardian cast iron mantel, with popular motifs and elegant design, is a particularly fine and desirable fireplace.

Although Edwardian, this fireplace borrows common Georgian motifs - dental detailing on the mantel, and below the frieze, egg and dart pattern. The frieze itself, depicts a large central plaque with an arrangement of musical instruments. Flowery ornamentation provides the backdrop.

Either side of the lily canopy, the striking design of the reproduction tiles cleverly combines individual tiles into a single art-nouveau scene. This tiled-panel picks up and continues the floral theme of the fireplace hood and the central frieze.
