Victorian Arched Chimneypiece
Original Irish chimneypiece in Carerra marble. c1880. A serpentine mantle with shell detail on the keystone frames the arched opening. The shell is a popular motif on period Irish furniture.
The marble surround is shown paired with an original cast iron arched insert.
